This engaging session combines short pitches on real-world case studies with network opportunities to accelerate ZE-MHDV adoption. The endorser spotlight series will feature dynamic five-minute pitches where Global MOU endorsers and knowledge partners share key lessons, successes, and challenges in transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. The following interactive Q&A sessions will ensure practical takeaways and meaningful discussions. The tour will start close to Arnhem Central Station and ride through the city’s unique and bike-friendly infrastructure. Enjoy a scenic ride while learning how the Municipality of Arnhem is pioneering in green construction and charging infrastructure, sustainable mobility solutions, and green logistics. Then the British XXX Corps could advance over the bridges and cross the Rhine and its tributaries. The bridges were at Eindhoven, around 20km (13 miles) from the start line, Nijmegen, 85km (53 miles), and Arnhem, 100km (62 miles) away, as well as two smaller bridges at Veghel and Grave that lay between Eindhoven and Nijmegen. We’ll explore how visionary leadership and international MOUs are igniting a cascade of clean innovation, reshaping global supply chains for equitable prosperity. Through its involvement in this groundbreaking project, Sorba Projects has not only contributed to the physical transformation of Arnhem, but also to strengthening the Netherlands’ position in the world of architecture and construction. Participants will learn from expert presentations and successful case studies, while also engaging in hands-on work to develop their own implementation plans. By the end of the session, policymakers will map out the most likely ZE-MHDV corridors in their countries, estimate charging plaza requirements, and take home a tailored implementation plan. nuttige bron will equip participants with the tools, resources, and expert guidance to drive forward infrastructure development for ZE-MHDVs. This session, part of a two-part series, is designed for governments that have not yet implemented supply-side regulations, which compel manufacturers to sell an increasing number of zero-emission vehicles each year. If you’re looking to take a rod and reel out on the water, fishing boats – including the Territory classic, the ‘tinny’ – are available for hire in Darwin for Top End fishing trips. In Katherine, swap the outboard for paddle power and hire a canoe to explore the splendour of Nitmiluk Gorge. For the truly intrepid (and fit), overnight canoe hire is available for multi-day canoeing and camping trips. Whether planning an off-road adventure, a relaxing campervan holiday or a weekend fishing trip, it’s easy to hire a vehicle suited to the NT’s terrain. A fast-paced session using thought-provoking questions to warm up, foster connections, build shared understanding, and encourage reflection through rotating pairs and group discussions. The ‘twist’, a central column in the station hall, is a fusion of two Möbius rings and was built using shipbuilding techniques. Miraculously, some 4,000 were evacuated safely, including 240 who were hidden by local people and, with the help of the Dutch Resistance, were spirited away later. The Battle of Arnhem – Operation Market Garden – which took place between 17th and 25th September 1944, was made famous by the book and film of the same name ‘A Bridge Too Far’. This month sees the 75th anniversary of the epic, costly and ultimately unsuccessful battle, with large scale commemorations planned to take place in the Netherlands. This sampler is used to measure bed-load of coarse sand and fine gravel in rivers and other watercourses. Join Andreas Kammel as he unpacks the latest data on cost curves, the role of fast charging, and why there’s no “plan c” – it’s plan BEV on the road to zero. This session explores the challenges SMEs face in transitioning to zero-emission trucking and presents tailored, cost-effective solutions. Drawing on global expertise, it highlights key barriers and innovative As-a-Service (AAS) models that simplify fleet electrification. Through discussions, case studies, and audience Q&A, we’ll explore if and how AAS models can help SME’s to make electric trucking more accessible, cost-effective, and scalable. This interactive workshop will explore the transition to zero-emission buses, focusing on the challenges, strategies, and technological innovations driving the shift in public transportation. Through real-world case studies, including a notable example from India, participants will learn about successful implementations, such as fleet electrification and charging infrastructure solutions. The session will provide a platform for discussing policy frameworks, funding mechanisms, and operational considerations that support ZE-bus adoption. Participants will engage in discussions on overcoming barriers like range limitations, cost concerns, and infrastructure gaps.

The project partners demonstrated several technology items which – taken together – could be considered as a future smart trolley network, and as a backbone for zero-emission mobility systems in urban areas. Industriepark Kleefse Waard (IPKW) in Arnhem is a sustainable industrial park focused on cleantech and circular economy innovations. It serves as a hub for companies working on energy transition, mobility, and sustainable production. The park hosts a mix of startups, scale-ups, and established businesses, fostering collaboration between industry, government, and academia. It also led to the liberation of a large part of the Netherlands at a time when many Dutch people were close to starvation. Although units of XXX Corps captured Nijmegen bridge in conjunction with the US 82nd Airborne Division, they could not reach the furthest bridge at Arnhem. Much of its advance was along a single narrow causeway, which was vulnerable to traffic jams and German counter-attacks. Around 10,000 men from Major-General Roy Urquhart’s 1st British Airborne Division and the 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade landed at Arnhem. Only one battalion reached the objective while the remaining soldiers were squeezed into a pocket at Oosterbeek to the west. Eventually all the bridges were captured in what was one of the largest airborne operations in history. This workshop will explore the transition to zero-emission buses, featuring case studies such as India’s successful fleet electrification. It will offer insights into strategies, challenges, and solutions for sustainable public transport. This interactive workshop challenges participants to strategize the integration of renewable energy, charging infrastructure, and grid stability for ZE-MDHVs, with insights from guest speakers on real-world renewable integration in the sector. The OV Terminal Arnhem is not only a modern public transport hub, but also a symbol of urban and economic development. With its innovative design, technological advancements and sustainable initiatives, the station sets a new standard for public transport terminals worldwide.
